Hello dear readers. Homemade cakes are definitely a favorite delicacy of my restless family. At least once a week for dining table a seductive pie or, a cupcake or a cookie is sure to flaunt. And today, the place of the main treat at dinner will be taken by a pie with green onions and an egg, which I baked from a quick yeast dough.

An old friend repeatedly persuaded me to cook a pie according to this recipe, arguing that tastier than pie I haven't tried it with onions and eggs yet. But somehow he still couldn’t decide to move away from the usual tried and tested recipe for making a pie with green onions.

It seemed strange that the kneaded dough should not be placed in heat, but, on the contrary, in the refrigerator. And in fact, it turned out to be much better, and it took 4 times less time to rise the dough than usual. The pie with green onion and egg turned out just amazing: fluffy, soft, tender. I am happy to share the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • warm water - 500 milliliters;
  • 35 grams of granulated sugar;
  • margarine - 30 grams;

  • 60 grams of mayonnaise;
  • dry yeast - 20 grams;

This amount of ingredients intended for the dough was enough for me to make two decent-sized pies. Quick cooking time yeast pie was 90 minutes.

How to cook

The first thing I do - in a safe way. I breed dry yeast in warm water along with sugar.

Then I add mayonnaise, salt and oil.

I introduce an egg already beaten in a separate container (one) and flour in small portions.

I knead a soft, slightly sticky dough that swells right before my eyes. I put it in a bowl greased with oil, cover it with cling film and send it to the refrigerator for about half an hour.

In the meantime, I start preparing the filling. I pour into a mug vegetable oil and I throw margarine there, melt it over low heat.

At the same time, I boil hard-boiled eggs. I finely chop the green onion (not forgetting to rinse it under running water beforehand), cutting off the white ends, which I then use to cook second courses. I chop the boiled and peeled eggs with a knife.

I put the chopped ingredients in a bowl, season with salt, pour over the melted butter and mix well.

The filling is ready, and the dough for the pie by that time strives to get out of the cup (it took 35 minutes).

I'm making a pie. On oiled parchment, I knead the dough with my hands (a little more than ¼ of the total volume) into a rectangular layer and transfer it to a baking sheet.

I spread the green onion filling and eggs over the surface of the dough.

I close the cake with a second layer, fasten the edges.

I immediately put the baking sheet with the cake in the still cold oven and set the temperature to 200 ° C. Bake for 40 minutes until nice brown.   2. To prepare the filling dough, pour kefir into a suitable container, add eggs, salt, sugar. We mix everything well. Can be used instead of kefir spoiled milk. Add baking soda to the flour, mix and sift everything together into a bowl with liquid ingredients. We mix. The dough should be homogeneous, without lumps.
  3. Grease a baking dish well with butter. The size of my form is 25 x 25 cm. Pour half of the dough into the form. We level. Then we put the filling and level it. Pour in the second half of the dough. Smooth the surface well.
  4. We put the cake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius and bake for about 40 minutes. Such a pie can be eaten immediately after cooking, cut into portioned pieces.

  3. Let's start kneading the dough. First, melt the butter in the microwave for half a minute. Sift flour. Preheat oven to 180 deg.
  4. In a large bowl, beat eggs with sugar, baking powder and salt. Pour in half of the kefir. Continuing to mix with a whisk, add half the flour. Add melted butter. Gradually add the remaining half of the flour and pour in the rest of the kefir. It turns out batter, from which pancakes are usually baked.
  5. Line the mold with parchment paper and grease with oil. Pour about half into the mold. ready dough. Gently place onion with eggs on top of the dough.
  6. Pour the rest of the dough on top, smooth, then put in the oven for 30 minutes. All ovens bake differently, so keep an eye on it.

  1. First, prepare all the ingredients for the dough and filling. Boil the eggs in advance, and wash the greens and let the water drain. Cut onion feathers and put in a bowl. Cut spinach greens into strips, and then divide into 3-4 parts.
  2. Let greens in butter for no more than three minutes. Peel the eggs, cut in half and chop with a fork. Combine greens and eggs, add salt and pepper. Mix all components well.

  2. Now we turn on the oven at 180 degrees, leave it to warm up and start preparing the dough. Pour kefir into a suitable size bowl, add melted butter to it. With a whisk, bring the mass to homogeneity, then add eggs into it. Knead the mixture again with a whisk, then add sugar and salt to the dough.
  3. Next, sift the flour into the bowl with the dough, mix it with the baking powder. In the absence of baking powder, you can replace it with slaked soda vinegar. Again, whisk until the dough is smooth.
  4. We grease the baking dish well with oil or line with parchment both the bottom and the sides. Pour about 2/3 of the dough into the mold. Shake the mold so that the dough evenly lies on the bottom of the mold, then spread the filling on the dough layer. Also evenly distribute it over the entire surface of the dough.
  5. With the remaining dough, “cover” the filling. The top layer of dough will be very, very thin, it will have to be literally smeared over the filling. That's exactly how it should be. Part of the filling will inevitably “sink” in the bottom layer of dough, and you will get a cake with the most equal ratio of dough and filling.
  6. A jellied pie with onions and an egg is baked at a temperature of 170–180 degrees for about 30–50 minutes. Readiness is checked on a dry skewer. It is better to serve the cake after it has cooled down a bit - then it will be easier to cut it.
