My mother cooks a salad with meat and carrots and onions quite often, so to speak, this is her culinary business card. And although I have also been preparing such a dish for my family for a long time, every time it seems to me that my mother still turns out tastier.
Probably, it's not even about the recipe, it's purely psychological, because we all come from childhood, and the tastes that we remember and love cannot be reproduced, and it is not necessary.
Such a dish turns out to be very satisfying, because it is based on fried meat and at the same time it is not so fatty, because I take mostly beef meat, but the additional ingredients in the dish are sautéed onions and raw chopped carrots. This combination of products makes the taste of the dish simply amazing.
Well, as a dressing, we take the sauce at our discretion - mayonnaise, sour cream or homemade. You can cook another one that you like better so that it sets off the taste of the main ingredients.
In theory, such a dish can be served as warm salad, because two of three ingredients prepared by the method heat treatment and mixed with sauce and carrots. But, I just like this salad more the next day, when it is infused and saturated with the flavors of the ingredients, spices and sauce.
The recipe is for 4 servings.



Ingredients:
- carrot root - 500 g,
- turnip onion (large head) - 1 pc.,
- meat (beef) - 400 g,
- sunflower oil - 4 tablespoons,
- finely ground salt
- spices - to taste,
- sauce (mayonnaise) - 100-200 g.


Step by step recipe with photo:





First of all, we clean the meat from the veins and films, and then we wash it and dry it with a towel. Next, cut into medium cubes.




And fry in oil in a preheated pan for a couple of minutes on each side so that the meat is browned, but not dried out.




We clean the onion from dry scales and wash cold water. Then finely chop in half rings.




Sauté onion with oil until browned.






We wash the peeled carrots and chop with a grater.




Combine and mix all ingredients.




Season with mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste.






It is best to give the salad time to infuse and soak. (If possible, then at least 6-8 hours),
We put it on a plate and serve it to the table.
