  • one glass of sour cream
  • 2 cups of flour

Sour cream:

  • one glass of sugar

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • one glass of water

Beat eggs with sugar using a mixer. Add currant jam and soda.

So, what i changed:

“When I was a very little girl, my dad cooked a cake made of currant jam with sour cream that was simply magical in my opinion: so airy and sweet. Its somehow always baked just like that, no reason.

The second attempt was also unsuccessful: well, I didn’t know that in order to extinguish the soda in kefir, you need to wait time.

Another time I decided to do it like dad and poured the dough not into a mold, but onto a baking sheet, as a result of the dough it turned out to be very small and my cake burned out. Mom was still long overjoyed while she tried to clean up my culinary masterpiece.

Having decided that it was enough to experiment, I began to bake other cakes. Since I love to cook and I always need to surprise with something, I have mastered perfectly the recipe for Kiev cake, Earl ruins, Napoleon, Leningradsky, bird's milk and many more.

More than 10 years have passed since then and now I am finally ready to bake IT. And even baked, and even something similar turned out, but not that ... He looked like a crooked and lopsided one for me.

I mix kefir and soda and leave for 10-15 minutes.

Alena recommends baking at 170 degrees for 50 minutes.
