- Where is he?
- Yes, I took him first and foremost at dawn, - continued Tikhon, rearranging wider flat legs, twisted in bast shoes, - and led him into the forest. I see it’s not okay. I think, let me go, I'll take another more careful than what.
- Look, rogue, it is, - said Denisov to the esaul. - Why didn't you do this?
“But why drive him,” Tikhon interrupted angrily and hastily, “he’s not hungry. Don't I know which ones you want?

- I went for another, - Tikhon continued, - I crawled into the forest in such a manner, and I went to bed. - Tikhon unexpectedly and flexibly lay on his belly, imagining in their faces how he did it. “One and be sure,” he continued. - I rob him in such a manner. - Tikhon jumped up quickly, easily. - Let's go, I say, to the colonel. How to zagald. And there are four of them. They rushed at me with skewers. I at them in such a manner with an ax: that you, they say, Christ is with you, - cried Tikhon, waving his arms and frowning menacingly, exposing his chest.
“Now we saw from the mountain how you asked the stretch through the puddles,” said the esaul, narrowing his shining eyes.
Petya really wanted to laugh, but he saw that everyone was refraining from laughing. He quickly turned his eyes from the face of Tikhon to the face of the Esaul and Denisov, not understanding what all this meant.
- You dug "aka do not imagine," said Denisov, coughing angrily.

In each national cuisine there are dishes that are well known to compatriots, but little known to residents of other countries. For example, most Russians do not even realize that Quesadilla is not a woman's name or the name of a city, but a very popular Mexican food. To close this knowledge gap, more information about this dish is needed.

There is an opinion that Mexican cuisine is necessarily something spicy and certainly exotic. This statement is partly true. Indeed, the locals simply adore such dishes as tacos, fajitos, enchiladas and tamale, the taste of which can really seem sizzling to untrained gourmets. The famous quesadilla belongs to this category. This food embodies the fusion of two cultures: Spanish and Indian. Long before the European conquerors appeared on the American continent, the diet of local residents mainly consisted of the most simple products: corn, beans, and Mexican cactus. The Spaniards added meat, oil, wine and cheese to them. Over time, they all formed the basis of the most different dishes one of which is the popular quesadilla. These are, in fact, ordinary national tortillas.

They are baked in advance, and then used as the main semi-finished product. This dish has many varieties, which differ from each other precisely in the composition of the fillings used. Nevertheless, quesadillas are a product in which two main components must be present: tortilla and cheese. The use of the rest of the ingredients is the embodiment of the imagination and taste of the local chefs.

Classic recipe

Traditional quesadilla is wheat or (tortilla) and hard cheese... In cooking, such a recipe is considered basic or classic. To prepare such a dish, you will need: 2 fresh tortillas and 50 grams of cheese.

If national tortillas are not available, then they can be prepared independently or replaced with thin Armenian lavash... Next, you need to do the following:

  1. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, and then spread on the surface of one tortilla.
  2. Place the second cake carefully on top.
  3. Place the structure in a frying pan greased with butter and fry on both sides.

After that, the finished product must be divided into 4 parts. You can use a pizza knife to do this. Quesadilla is usually served hot along with hot sauce"Salsa". If not, then you can use regular ketchup, adding a little onion, pepper, garlic and fresh herbs to it. And those who are not a supporter of scalding tastes can be content with ordinary sour cream.

Decent alternative

According to experts, chicken with a photo is also considered a good option to help those who decide to join Mexican cuisine, to properly prepare a well-known dish.

For work you will need: 2 wheat tortillas, 90 grams of hard cheese, 1 tomato, 120 grams of fresh chicken fillet, 2 cloves of garlic, half an onion, salt, a teaspoon of vegetable oil, a little ground pepper and one and a half tablespoons of chopped herbs.

The cooking process takes place in several stages:

  1. First, you need to chop all the products: cut the meat into small pieces, and the onion into half rings, the tomato into slices, and for cheese it is better to use a coarse grater. Greens can simply be chopped with a hatchet.
  2. Lightly fry the fillets in oil with onions, adding garlic, and a little pepper and salt.
  3. Combine the components and mix.
  4. Put the resulting mass on one of the cakes.
  5. The second tortilla should cover the resulting structure.
  6. Fry the prepared semi-finished product on both sides. To do this, you can use a grill or a regular skillet without adding oil.

The readiness of the product is easy to determine by the cheese melted inside.

A feast of taste

Each culinary specialist decides for himself how to prepare a quesadilla. There are dozens of very different fillings, among which you can choose the right option for yourself. Take, for example, a recipe that uses the following ingredients: glass grated cheese, 2 thin lavash(if no tortilla), jalapeno peppers, a teaspoon of butter, and 1/2 cup each canned corn, chopped into bell pepper chunks and beef fillet(you can take minced meat).

The work, as usual, starts with the filling:

  1. All products with the exception of cheese and pita bread must be fried in a dry frying pan.
  2. After that, the mass must be transferred to a clean plate and covered with a lid so that it does not cool down ahead of time.
  3. Put the pan on the fire and close its bottom with one pita bread.
  4. Sprinkle it with cheese, and place half of the prepared filling on top on one side. The second part should be left for another serving.
  5. As soon as we begin to gradually melt, the pita bread must be folded in half. Under the influence of high temperature, both sides will quickly stick together.

The same procedure must be done with the second pita bread.
