How to cook donuts

In order to make dough for donuts, first pour warm water into a deep bowl and add yeast to it. The optimum water temperature is about 35-40 degrees, but not higher. Pressed yeast can be replaced with dry yeast, which will be enough for 5 grams, but I prefer to work with fresh.



With the last ingredient I add flour, but not all at once, but in several approaches, so that it is more convenient to knead the dough. Sifting flour increases the splendor of finished products.


The whole kneading process takes about 5 minutes. You do not need to knead the dough for a very long time or add more flour than indicated. If it no longer sticks to your hands and turns out to be soft, elastic, then this is enough.


Then I cover it cling film or a kitchen towel and leave for an hour and a half in a warm place to rise. During this time, it should increase two to three times. If the sun is outside, you can put the dough to fit on the window, this will speed up the process well.


Making donuts is very easy, just pinch off a piece of dough and form a ball out of it with your hands. If it sticks to your hands, then sprinkle them with a little flour. I put a sheet of parchment on a baking sheet, and spread the buns on top at a distance from each other, as they will increase even more. Then I smear each donut with milk on top, it can also be done with a little beaten egg.


I turn on the oven at a temperature of 190 degrees, when it heats up, I set the buns to bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown. Inside, I check the readiness with a toothpick, which, after piercing the product, should remain dry.


Now I'll cook garlic dressing for them. Pour vegetable oil into a small bowl, squeeze the garlic and add salt, then mix. If desired, you can add chopped herbs.
