Ingredients:

  • Cherry tomatoes (I have frozen) - a few things
  • Medium zucchini - ½ pc.
  • Flax seed- 2 tbsp.
  • Lentils- ½ glass
  • Green beans (I have frozen)
  • Salt to taste
  • Drinking water - ½ glass
  • Favorite spices (today I have turmeric, hops-suneli, sweet paprika, dry adjika, nutmeg, mustard seed) - to taste and desire
  • Olive oil or - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh or frozen greens (as in my version) - for serving

My way of cooking:

1. Soak flax seed and lentils together for 3 hours (you can overnight)

2. We will prepare all the vegetables and cut them into arbitrary slicing, whatever your soul desires

3. Onions and carrots go to cooking first, which we simmer in preheated oil with the lid closed, for 3 minutes

5. Put cherry tomatoes, spices on top, close the lid and simmer for 5 minutes

6. Stir, add the zucchini and cabbage, mix again and simmer under a closed lid until half cooked (the time depends on the type of cabbage, if it is winter, then the stewing is longer - up to 30 minutes)

7. Pour in water, bring to a boil. We wash the lentils and flaxseed and add to the vegetables, salt, stir and simmer for another 10 - 15 minutes again under a closed lid. I take a shorter time because I don't like over-stewed vegetables or overcooked legumes. They are neither useful nor kind ...

Our cabbage stew with vegetables and lentils is ready! Serve immediately, sprinkle with chopped herbs. Alternatively, steamed fish can be served with this dish.
