Carrot pie


Carrot baked goods are very original and unusual. The very fact that a dessert can contain a large amount of carrots is already arousing serious interest. In fact, sweet pastries with carrots have a long history; such pies were baked in Europe back in the century before last. The taste of carrot baked goods is very delicate and does not at all resemble the taste of carrots. This baked root vegetable acquires completely different taste properties than that of raw carrots. Let's make a simple pie together today.

For cooking we need:

  • 2 large carrots;
  • 1/2 cup unscented sunflower oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs;
  • 1 cup flour;
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • icing sugar - 1 tablespoon.

The cooking time is 60 minutes.
Caloric content of 100 g of a product - 320 kcal.

Preparation:

First of all, we should take a large bowl or salad bowl. Drive two eggs into a bowl. Add half a glass of sugar to the eggs. In some recipes for carrot pies, you can find a different amount of sugar (a glass or more). But we will not make it too sweet, because the carrots are also sweet and they will be contained in the cake in large quantities.

So, crack the eggs with sugar using a whisk until smooth. It is desirable that the sugar has time to dissolve.

We clean the carrots, wash and three on a fine grater. Add it to the dough.

Following the carrots, add flour and a teaspoon of baking powder. We mix all the ingredients and get a pretty batter.

We need a split baking dish for biscuits. We put the dough in a mold and send it to a preheated oven. We bake the cake at a temperature of 190 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
