Whip up honey cinnamon and nut cookies

The recipe for this cookie came from my friend's mother-in-law from Bulgaria. But he took root in our family so much that he even became one of the obligatory dishes prepared for the Holy Evening. With the only caveat - for Holy Evening I do not add eggs to cookies, I prepare a lean version. In the process of cooking, I took photos step by step, which, I hope, will be useful to you when you bake for the first time.

So, for cookies we need:

eggs - 2 pcs.;

sugar - 2 coffee cups, 150 ml each;

honey - 2 tbsp. spoons;

sunflower oil - 2 incomplete coffee cups, 150 ml each;

cinnamon - 25 gr;

soda - 1 teaspoon (extinguish with lemon juice or vinegar);

flour - about 0.5 kg;

How to make honey cookies quickly and easily

Beat eggs with sugar.

Slowly pour oil into them.

Honey heated in a water bath (it will be most aromatic with buckwheat).

Fill in the cinnamon, add the quenched soda.

Add flour.

You should have a medium soft dough. If you take more flour, the cookies will hold their shape better, but they will turn out to be more firm. Therefore, it is necessary to find the “golden mean”.

From the dough we form balls, the size of a walnut. We spread them on a baking sheet at a distance of 3 cm from each other. We stick a piece of nut into each ball.

We bake at a temperature of no more than 185 degrees, for about 25-30 minutes.

These quick honey cookies do not contain margarine, therefore, they are great for baby and diet food. Can be served with dried fruit compote or, traditionally, with coffee or herbal teas.
