We need:

  • 3 kg tomato
  • 1 kg bell pepper, any color

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 15 cloves

  • 1.5 tbsp salt
  • 50 ml 9% vinegar
  • 2 tbsp starch

Cooking:

1. Wash all vegetables, peel and pass through a juicer, meat grinder, blender, to whom, as convenient.

2. Pour the tomato juice into a saucepan and put it on the stove, bring to a boil, do not forget to remove the foam. When signs of boiling appear, add salt and sugar.

3. Put peppercorns, cloves in gauze or a canvas bag and put it in tomato juice, add cinnamon, mix and boil for 5 minutes.

4. After that, send the onion to the pan and boil for 15 minutes, stir occasionally.

  1. Wash the tomatoes, twist on the tomato.

4. Then add salt, sugar and vinegar there. Let it simmer over the fire until thickened, about 35-40 minutes. The sauce should thicken twice. Don't forget to stir it.

5. Then, while hot, spread the sauce into jars. From the presented amount of ingredients, two jars are obtained and a little more remains for the sample. Cover the jars with a warm blanket and leave to cool. Keep it in a cool place.

A simple recipe for homemade tomato and apple ketchup
