Dear friends, today is my mom's recipe for you: apples in batter. The recipe for fried apples in batter is very simple and easy to prepare.

Apples in the dough are very tasty, tender, with a pleasant sourness.

They can be prepared at any time of the year. In hot summer, serve apple rings with a scoop of ice cream, cold freshly squeezed juice or a milkshake. On a cold autumn or winter evening - with a cup of hot tea and a spoonful of delicious homemade jam.

My mom used an egg white recipe to make apples.

Ingredients:

  • Apples - 5-6 pieces.
  • Wheat flour - ½ cup.
  • Water - ½ cup (you can use milk).
  • Proteins - 3 pcs.
  • Sugar - 3-4 tbsp. l.
  • Salt - 1/3 tsp
  • Vegetable oil - for frying apples.
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling - optional.
  • Cooking process:

    Prepare batter according to the recipe with proteins.

    In water (it should be warm, but not hot), add sugar and salt. We stir with a spoon. We need to leave a pinch of salt for whipping proteins.

    Sift flour into a deep dish, gradually (in small portions) add prepared water (or milk).

    Stir everything thoroughly with a fork or a special whisk so that there are no lumps.

    Separately, beat the whites with a pinch of salt until a thick foam forms.

    You can check if the whites are ready like this: just turn the container in which you whipped the whites upside down. If the proteins do not pour out, then they are beaten enough.
    We add the whipped proteins to our flour mass and gently with a spoon (moving your hand in one direction) mix them into the sweet batter. It should be slightly thicker than pancake batter.
    Now let's prepare our apples for frying in the dough.
    Wash apples, dry. Using a special tool, cut the core of all apples (this can also be done carefully with a small knife). We cut the apples into circles, about 5 mm thick (the shape of cutting apples can be different, you can also cut into slices).

    An apple can, if desired, be peeled (if it is tough or small children will eat).

    Now we need to dip the sliced ​​apples into the sweet batter. Then, using a fork (tongs) or simply dip the rings of apples into the dough with your fingers and carefully send them to a pan with heated vegetable oil. If you want to achieve donut-shaped fried apples, puffy and with a hole in the middle, you need to fry them in a saucepan or deep fryer in a large amount of deep-fried oil.

    If you use less oil and cook in a pan, you will get beautiful thick pancakes with apple filling.

    Fry apples until golden brown on both sides.

    We spread the finished apples in batter on a flat large plate with a paper napkin so that the excess oil is absorbed. We do this with all apples.

    If you have batter left and there are no more apples, cook other fruits in it or just delicious airy pancakes.
