Dishes for a 1 year old baby. Beets stewed with prunes

The baby's nutrition expands significantly after 1.5 years. New dishes and new products appear on the menu. You no longer need to grind food, as in the first year of life. Ingredients can be chopped into small pieces, rather than ground in a meat grinder or blender. A child's nutrition at this age is five times a day, three of which are the main meals, and two are snacks. One serving of food for a child over a year old is 250-300 grams.

The diet includes light soups, vegetable and fruit purees, meat and fish, meatballs, cutlets and meatballs, milk porridge. Use sour cream or vegetable oil for dressing dishes. You can add a little salt and pepper, herbs. When introducing a new product, each time monitor the baby's reaction for two days so that there is no allergy or eating disorder.

Heavy and junk food should be discarded. Do not feed your baby fried foods, mushrooms, smoked and canned foods, pickles and pickles, sauces and seafood. For detailed information on which products are not recommended for children under 3 years of age, see. And in this article we will learn recipes for a child 1.5-2 years old.

Salads and omelets

Salads and omelets are perfect for breakfast, a snack for dinner or a snack. By the way, for an omelet and other dishes, you can take quail eggs, not chicken eggs, if the baby has a food allergy to protein. Use turkey instead of chicken in this case. This is a dietary, hypoallergenic and more tender meat.

Broccoli omelet

  • Milk - 0.5 stack.;
  • Wheat flour - 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • Chicken eggs - 4 pcs.;
  • Broccoli - 350 grams.

Cook broccoli separately. Break eggs, mix with flour and milk. Cut the cooled cabbage and add to the egg-milk mass. Put the omelet in a dish greased with vegetable oil and bake for 12 minutes at 180 degrees. You can bake an omelette in the form of a cupcake, then it will look interesting and every child will like it. Such methods will help if the baby refuses to eat.

Meat omelet

  • Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • Chicken fillet or breast - 200 grams;
  • Milk - 1⁄3 stack ..

Boil the chicken separately, cut into pieces. Beat eggs and pour in milk, mix. On the bottom of the pan, greased with butter, put the chicken down and pour in the egg-milk mass. Steam covered for twenty minutes. If desired, the finished omelet can be sprinkled with chopped fresh herbs.

Beetroot salad with prunes

  • Beets - 1 small fruit;
  • Prunes - 50 grams.

Beets and prunes improve digestion and improve bowel movements. These products are great for relieving constipation, which often affects young children. To prepare the salad, boil the beets, and rinse the prunes, sort out and soak for twenty minutes. Peel the vegetable and pass it through a meat grinder together with dried fruits. Take sour cream for dressing.

If desired, chopped and pre-soaked walnuts can be added to the salad. However, this dish is not recommended for children with high blood sugar and frequent diarrhea.

You can make a regular vegetable salad for your baby by chopping the ingredients into small pieces and seasoning the dish with vegetable oil. The child can be given tomatoes and fresh cucumbers, pumpkin and zucchini, carrots and radishes, small quantities of bell peppers, fresh green peas and herbs. But in one serving, it is better not to mix more than four to five components at a time.

For the preparation of salads, you can use boiled, stewed and fresh vegetables, but preferably peeled. In addition, boiled meat and fish, nuts, dried fruits can be put in such dishes. You can find many interesting recipes for children's salads for a holiday and for every day.

Casseroles

Casseroles are a dish that many mothers love to cook. It is hearty, tasty and healthy, if, of course, you choose the right ingredients. It is better to start with a classic cottage cheese casserole, then you can gradually add dried fruits, fresh vegetables and fruits, meat and fish to the dish. The casserole will be a great breakfast, a main course for lunch or a full dinner.

Vegetable casserole

  • Broccoli - 500 grams;
  • Milk - 1 stack.;
  • Flour - 1 table. spoon;
  • Tomatoes - 2 medium fruits;
  • Grated cheese - 200 grams;
  • Butter - 40 grams.

Boil the cabbage for five to seven minutes in boiling and lightly salted water. Melt the butter in a frying pan with high sides, add flour and milk, mix the ingredients thoroughly. Bring the resulting mass to a boil and cook for several minutes until thickened. Sprinkle with cheese on top and stir. Peel and cut the tomatoes. Mix the prepared cabbage and tomatoes, put on a baking sheet, pour over the cheese and milk mass and bake at two hundred degrees for 25 minutes. After entering the recipe in the child's menu, zucchini can be added to the dish along with the tomatoes, and eggplant for older children.

Potato casserole with meat

  • Boiled mashed potatoes - 500 grams;
  • Minced chicken or beef - 500 grams;
  • Grated hard cheese - 100 grams.

Prepare mashed potatoes and fry the minced meat until half cooked. Put half of the mashed potatoes in a dish with butter and level with a spatula or spoon. Top with minced meat and sprinkle with cheese. Cover the casserole with the rest of the mashed potatoes, level the layer and brush with sour cream. Bake for half an hour at 180 degrees or cook in a water bath under a closed lid for 40 minutes. Fish fillets can be used instead of meat. What kind of fish to choose for a child, see.

For cottage cheese casserole, it is better to cook cottage cheese yourself. To do this, pour baby or 1% kefir into a jar. Place a cloth on the bottom of the pot, pour cold water and put a jar there. Preheat a saucepan over low heat and remove ten minutes after boiling. Strain the curd through a sieve and cheesecloth. The product is ready! Cottage cheese is used as a separate dish and for making casseroles. You can also cook delicious ones for your baby.

Soups

Soups should be hated and light. It is not recommended to give your baby broth based on meat or fish. The fact is that when these products are cooked, extractives are formed that strongly irritate the intestines, cause indigestion and stool disorders. Therefore, it is better to cook meat and fish separately, and then cut into pieces and add to the finished vegetable broth. In the first months of complementary feeding, the baby should receive puree soups, but in the second year, classic traditional soups can be introduced.

Vegetable puree soup

  • Zucchini - 1 medium fruit;
  • Cauliflower and broccoli - 250 grams each;
  • Tomatoes - 2 fruits;
  • Carrots - 1⁄2 pcs.;
  • Chopped fresh herbs to taste.

Grate washed and peeled vegetables. Simmer over low heat for three minutes and put in boiling water (1.5 liters). Season with salt and pepper, add herbs and cook for ten minutes. Beat the prepared vegetables with a blender and grind through cheesecloth or a sieve. Then the puree soup will turn out to be airy and light. If the consistency is too thick, dilute the dish with the vegetable broth left over from cooking.

Meatball soup

  • Minced beef or chicken - 300 grams;
  • Potatoes - 3 tubers;
  • Carrots - 1 pc.;
  • Short vermicelli - 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • Chopped greens - 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • Onion - 1 head.

Put a whole peeled onion and chopped potatoes in three liters of boiling water. For the meatballs, use minced meat without salt or other spices, from which roll into small balls. They should be small so that the child can chew without problems. After five minutes from the start of boiling the potatoes, place the meatballs and cook until they float to the surface.

While the potatoes and meatballs are boiling, peel and finely chop the carrots, simmer in vegetable oil and put in the soup. Then add the noodles and cook for another five minutes. Instead of noodles, you can use homemade noodles (50-60 grams). Remove the onion from the finished dish and add the herbs. Let it brew for 7-10 minutes. By the way, meatballs can also be used for main courses, for example, served with spaghetti, mashed potatoes or rice.

Homemade noodle soup

  • Chicken or turkey fillet - 200 grams;
  • Potatoes - 3 tubers;
  • Chicken egg - 2 pcs.;
  • Flour - 1 stack.;
  • Spinach to taste.

Cook the chicken or turkey separately, drain the broth. To prepare the noodles, break an egg, pour in 30 ml of water and add flour. Knead the dough, roll it into a thin layer and cut out the noodles. Put chopped spinach and diced potatoes in boiling water. After two minutes, add the noodles and cook the soup until the noodles float.

Milk soups are especially popular among mothers. Such dishes can be prepared with rice, buckwheat, millet and barley, noodles or noodles. Pasta or cereals are first boiled in water, and then warm or hot milk is poured. Be careful with the combination of milk and buckwheat, as this is a difficult dish for digestion. Milk soups are best served in the morning.

Cooking meat soups for babies is made from low-fat varieties. These are veal and beef, rabbit, turkey and chicken. Children are also happy to eat vegetable soups with zucchini and pumpkin, pea soup, you can gradually introduce fish soup. You can find the recipes for these dishes here.

Second courses

Traditional side dishes include noodles and other pasta, squash puree, potatoes and other vegetables. Boiled or baked meat or fish is served with the side dish. Remember that you cannot give both meat and fish dishes on the same day. It is enough to give fish to children two to three times a week.

Vegetable stew with meat

  • Chicken fillet - 100 gr;
  • Cauliflower - 300 gr;
  • Onion - ½ pcs.;
  • Carrots - 1 pc.;
  • Zucchini - 1 medium fruit;
  • Tomatoes - 2 pieces;
  • Green peas - 150 gr.;
  • Low-fat sour cream - 4 tablespoons. spoons.

This is the optimal dish for a small child. For cooking, cook the chicken separately and cut it. Finely chop the onion and carrots, simmer in vegetable oil. Prepare the zucchini and cabbage, peel the tomato, chop and add to the onion and carrot. Simmer until the tomatoes are soft, then add the peas and add sour cream. Stir the ingredients and simmer for another 5-7 minutes.

Instead of chicken, you can use beef, rabbit, or turkey. Moreover, it is better to cook meat separately and, cut into pieces, add to stewed vegetables. If the child has not yet learned how to chew well, the stew can be passed through a blender. And to make the kid's kitchen more varied, we offer a few more recipes for the second.

Zucchini with minced meat

  • Zucchini - 1 medium fruit;
  • Ground beef - 300 grams;
  • Grated cheese - 100 grams;
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc.;
  • Onion - 1 head.

Peel and cut the zucchini in half, remove the seeds and entrails. Chop the onion and put in the minced meat. Beat the egg there and mix. Put the minced meat in the zucchini, put it on a baking sheet or in a special dish and bake for twenty minutes at 180 degrees. Sprinkle the zucchini on top with grated cheese and bake for another ten minutes.

Meat muffins

  • Minced veal or beef - 500 grams;
  • Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • Grated hard cheese - 100 grams;
  • Chopped greens - 50 grams.

Pre-boil the eggs and grate, mix with prepared herbs and cheese. Place the minced meat in muffin or muffin tins. By the way, minced meat for children should be used at home, and not purchased semi-finished products. Put the filling with egg and cheese in the center, gently tamp with a teaspoon. Bake meat muffins for half an hour at 180 degrees. This dish looks very interesting and every kid will like it. An original food presentation will come to the rescue if.

Fish in the oven

  • Red fish (fillet) - 300 grams;
  • Low-fat sour cream - 2 tablespoons. spoons;
  • Grated cheese - 40 grams;
  • Olive oil - 2 tsp spoons.

Wash the fish and cut into pieces, lightly salt. Spread in butter and sour cream, put in a mold. Spread the remaining mixture of butter and sour cream on top of the fish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 40 minutes at 100 degrees. For a side dish, it is good to use crumbly boiled rice, noodles, mashed potatoes or buckwheat.

In addition, you can cook various meat and vegetable cutlets or meatballs baked or steamed for your child. Use squash, pumpkin, minced meat. But for children under three years old, it is not recommended to use breading! Don't forget about porridge too. It is a suitable breakfast and a side dish for dinner. Children over 1.5 years old can cook both dairy and gluten porridges. A detailed daily menu for a child of 1-2 years old with recipes and photos can be found at the link.

Great menu. Thanks for the recipes. There is a reason for the whole family to switch to proper healthy nutrition - thanks to the child. QUESTION - is it possible for a child (1 year old) to cook food in a multicooker-pressure cooker?
Answer: Marina, thanks for the comment! Yes, you can.

Olesya: | June 15th, 2017 | 3:56 pm

The menu is good and varied. I read a lot of books and articles, I liked this menu. Appreciated the soup with chicken, a casserole of zucchini and carrots, an omelet like in a garden (it turns out my multicooker does not do it right, 25 minutes and a lot of holes, not looking at the fact that it is tall enough and very tasty). I must try your recipe for all family. And we puree the rest of the meat and vegetables in the soup, because he spits out the pieces, and scatters the stewed vegetables, he loves giechka, pasta, rice, tea from his father's plate. We are 1 year 4 months
Answer: Olesya, thanks for your comment and your experience! Bon appetite to the kid! Dad's plate is always the most delicious :)

Answer: Elena, good appetite and food interest for the baby! :)

Julia: | December 2nd, 2015 | 8:36 pm

And I discovered a casserole of zucchini and carrots. I already left the recipe for myself! Only instead of zucchini I want to try pumpkin. I think it will be no worse)))

We are a year and a month old, with 8 months we have 8 teeth, this menu is quite suitable. Despite the fact that there are no chewing teeth, the baby does not tear or choke on any pieces, on the contrary, he does not like food chopped in mashed potatoes and happily gnaws various bagels, cookies, etc., tries to chew pieces of meat, fish and vegetables. Everything that is presented on the menu eats with pleasure, no problem!

Anna: | October 18th, 2015 | 9:39 pm

Thanks for the recipes, I really like my daughter. We are in 5 days a year and we have 12 teeth, so my manunya is already chewing everything)

Chulpan: | October 10th, 2015 | 9:28 pm

Hello!
Our daughter is now one year old. She has 8 teeth. There are no chews yet. She, too, vomits from pieces. And I do not understand this panic about the fact that it is imperative to learn to chew at this age. But what if you learn to chew when chewing teeth appear? Do you think it's too late and the child won't learn? All vital actions are carried out at the level of reflexes. Biting teeth appeared - the child began to bite, chewing teeth appear - he will learn to chew. In the meantime, he cannot chew food, it will be poorly digested and absorbed by the body. It is very difficult for the body to digest the unmilled pieces. Try to swallow such food yourself. Then there will be more problems with the chair. In extreme cases, the pieces should be soft so that the child can crush the gums. Another thing is when he asks for such food and tries to knead the pieces. I think you should try a little bit and only soft pieces. What kind of casseroles are there? The child will remain upset and hungry - or well-fed, but will be naughty because of the pain in the tummy. You should not be guided by age, but by the number of teeth, i.e. the body's readiness to process and assimilate such food.

Samira: | October 1st, 2015 | 1:35 pp

my in 10 days a year, we cook soups in broth, only agusha porridge, apple puree, banana, never gave fish,

Julia: | September 4th, 2015 | 1:40 pp

Mine is 1.1 years old. Somehow, this Menu is not very suitable for us - 8 teeth, but we are lazy to chew, we have to parry everything on a blender, because if small pieces come across, he immediately tears up the child, so meatballs and baked apples are definitely not for us))
Answer: Julia, of course, needs to look at the child. Different children start chewing on the bites at different ages. And baked apples are actually applesauce. It is enough to free the apple from the skin and mash it with a fork. Or run through a blender.

Shoira: | June 24th, 2015 | 8:49 dp

We are 1 year 1 month. 8 teeth. As the heat began, I stopped eating normally. Drinks well. Eats bread. The rest spits out almost everything. How many times a day to give a rosehip. What to feed in the summer in the heat?
Can I contact you as a doctor? Daughter 1 year 1 month crawls well. But she doesn’t walk on her own yet. Only holds on to 2 handles and on tiptoe. He wants to walk but is afraid. Costs 1-2 minutes without support. How to encourage her to walk? Doesn't sleep well at night. Sleeps 2-2.5 hours during the day. and then with me. 20 minutes without me. In the evening he falls asleep at 8 o'clock, whines, with music in his chest. And it starts waking up at 10, at 12, at 3, at 5. She whines all the time, capricious. Hangs on the chest. Tossing and turning. If I watch tv she gets up comes even though she was asleep. And so every day. In the morning we walk in the evening too. I can't constantly walk by the arms, my back hurts
Answer: Shoira, yes, now is a difficult period. What you can advise: feed satisfyingly before bedtime, so that the child wakes up less often at night. After a year, only mother's breast is no longer enough, you need to feed a full dinner. For example, before going to bed, you can give cottage cheese with kefir + breast before falling asleep. And only breast + bread - this can in no way be called complete nutrition for a child of this age. If you do not eat anything else due to the heat, then it will be temporary, it will pass with the normalization of the weather, just drink and feed more during a cool time of the day (in the morning, in the evening). If the problem also exists on cold days, then reconsider approaches to nutrition and teach the child to eat other foods besides bread, first of all - vegetables, fruits, berries, dairy products. If the child is given the opportunity to choose what he wants to eat, then the children will prefer high-calorie carbohydrate foods (sweets, pastries, etc.). Therefore, it is important to teach your child to eat right and make healthy food choices for him.

Natalia: | May 10th, 2015 | 4:09 pm

I liked it very much. Let's try to eat this way. I hope we will find our favorite dishes

Hope: | November 18th, 2014 | 4:15 pm

Thank you for the menu, I really like it, it's just a pity that the previous menu was removed and I can't find it, there were also many delicious dishes

Hope: | September 28th, 2014 | 10:25 am

A cool menu, we are 1.7 years old and we eat a lot with pleasure, of course, without overcooking, although I overcook onions and carrots in a fish casserole, because it is still baked later. Thanks for the great menu!)
Answer: Hope, I'm glad that I liked the menu!

Natalia: | September 23rd, 2014 | 8:58 dp

And I just think that the earlier a child is taught to an adult table, the better. So the pedagogical complementary food says. Previously, our grandmothers did not cook separately for children. There was no time. The farm took all the time. There was no time to play with the children, and then there was nothing to stand in the kitchen. Everything was done on the stove. Without steamers and multicooker. Slightly lowering the onion and carrot is, on the contrary, good. And this is not frying. Nice menu. I'll give you an A. The child will learn to chew faster.

Sveta: | August 25th, 2014 | 10:56 am

The child has 8 - 10 teeth. I can't imagine how the salads are presented on the menu, he will chew!
Answer: Sveta, if the ingredients are finely chopped, it will be able to.

Irina: | July 13th, 2014 | 10:04 pm

An excellent menu!) And I'm still racking my brains with what to feed my princess :) I don't see anything wrong with light frying for soup
Answer: Irina, thanks for the kind words! For a child, vegetables do not need to be overcooked at all.

Nata: | March 4th, 2014 | 6:37 pm

We are 8.5 months old. A lot of things from the article will come in handy. Thanks.
Answer: Nata, I'm very glad the article was helpful!

Anita: | January 20th, 2014 | 10:19 am

Thank you for solving my seasoning question, for a vegetarian family that matters. And thank you for discovering new interesting recipes for your baby. Now you do not have to rack your brains, making up the child's daily diet.

Olga: | June 2nd, 2013 | 3:27 pm

The older our baby becomes, the more products we can safely introduce into his diet, but there are still a number of restrictions. A children's menu from 1 year old should be varied, healthy and tasty, but he is far from an adult, since the baby's body has not yet matured. From this article, we will learn how to choose the right diet for children from 1.5 years old, so that they eat with benefit and with pleasure.

What should be on the plate of a little fidget after a year? Let's take a look at the most important nutritional principles for children of this age.

Nutrition principles

4 meals a day

A child of this age should eat 4 times a day - this will allow him to form correct eating habits and adhere to the daily routine.

In breakfast, the baby should receive 25% of the total daily ration, at lunchtime - 35%, at dinner - 25%, and at afternoon tea - 15%. This distribution will teach him to continue to eat properly.

Food structure

Now, when the child has much more teeth, it is not necessary to wipe or grind food in a blender, it will be enough to knead it with a fork or rub it on a coarse grater.

Soft foods such as bananas, berries, soft bread can be given whole by cutting into wedges.

Meat can now be offered not only in the form of mashed potatoes or soufflés, but cutlets, meatballs and meatballs.

Heat treatment

Fried foods are still unacceptable in the diet. It doesn't matter what we are talking about, meat, cereals or vegetables, we steam them.

So, let's look at specific examples of how breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner should look like for children at the age of 1.5 years.

Breakfast

As we remember, it should be high in calories, protein and carbohydrate. Cooking porridge with milk or water will be optimal.

The children's menu from 1.5 years old can contain oatmeal, wheat porridge, buckwheat and millet. They are the ones that are most useful. As for rice, it is better to cook it less often, since unpolished, that is, brown for the baby's digestive tract is still rough, and white is less useful.

Here are some sample breakfast options.

Option I - porridge

Millet

Let's prepare millet millet porridge. The serving should be approximately 150 - 170 ml.

To cook the most useful porridge, you need to cook it as little as possible, and for this you just need to soak the cereal for several hours or overnight. Millet is the most dense and difficult to boil, so it makes sense to soak it in the evening.

  • Fill with 2 tablespoons. cereals and leave overnight.
  • In the morning we rinse the cereal, fill it with clean water so that it covers the millet less than half a finger, salt and set it on the fire.
  • As soon as the porridge boils, add 2 tbsp. milk, add 1 tsp. sugar and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  • Turn off the prepared porridge, let stand under the lid for 5 - 10 minutes and serve. You can add 1 tsp to a serving. butter.

Instead of sugar, you can use jam or preserves as a sweetener, but it is better to avoid honey for now - this is too allergenic a product.

Oatmeal

We cook her children from 1.5 years old only from ordinary Hercules flakes. No instant cereals, since there is no longer any benefit in them, only excess sugars and preservatives. But if you want to cook it as quickly as possible, we also soak 2 tablespoons. flakes.

Pour boiling water over them in a ladle so that the water is level with the cereals, add some salt and cover. We hold for about half an hour, pour in 3-4 tbsp. milk and put on fire. Bring it to a boil, that's it, you can turn off the porridge, it's ready!

We also fill it with oil and either add 1 tsp. sugar or jam.

In addition, fruit is good for oatmeal. It is better to do this 5 minutes before the end of cooking, and if the cereal has been soaked, then immediately after the porridge boils.

Baby curd

We choose a product with medium fat content, 9 or 15%. Rustic cottage cheese is categorically not recommended by nutritionists for children 1.5 years old because of the too high fat content in it.

The portion should be about 100 - 150 g. You can use purchased baby curd. If desired, add fresh fruit to it: cut an apple, pear or banana into slices and mix.

If the child eats cottage cheese well, but avoids porridge, or vice versa, we will prepare an original breakfast by combining both ingredients.

Curd with oatmeal

First, grind 3-4 tablespoons in a blender or coffee grinder. oatmeal. This amount is enough for several servings.

Take 100 g of cottage cheese, add 1 tbsp to it. the resulting oat flour, sweeten at your discretion with sugar or jam, mix and serve! From such a curd mass, you can form a hedgehog or any other figurine familiar to the baby.

It is also good to add ¼ banana to the curd - you can simply cut it or other seasonal fruits. Remember that for children from 1.5 years old, apples and pears need to be grated.

Option III - omelet

Since we do not offer fried food for babies of this age yet, we will prepare the same omelet as for adults, but in a different way.

  1. Mix 1 egg with 3 tbsp in a plate. milk, salt.
  2. Then we take a small jar with a lid, grease the walls with vegetable oil, pour the egg mixture into it and put it in a saucepan with cold water. The level should match the height of the omelet.
  3. We put on fire and close the pan with a lid. Cook the omelet after boiling for 20 minutes, turn it off, let it cool without opening and take it out. To do this, shake the jar, then the omelet will slide out by itself.

If the kid falls in love with this dish, you can begin to diversify its taste by adding grated vegetables: zucchini - literally 1 tbsp for this volume, broccoli or cauliflower.

In addition to this breakfast, you can offer a slice of bread and butter. From 1.5 years old, a child can already receive up to 15 - 20 g of this product per day. A white bread or loaf sandwich is the best option, as rye varieties are much more difficult to digest and can cause bloating.

Dinner

Lunch should have the largest amount of food, as we remember, so for a start, you can offer your child a salad. The portion should be purely symbolic, so as not to kill the appetite before the main course, but fresh vegetables improve peristalsis and have a positive effect on the body as a whole, so you should not neglect the salad either.

Well, if the child is not a hunter of first courses, he will all the more become a worthy alternative to soup.

Salad

In summer we cook from seasonal vegetables - tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers. We cut everything finely or three on a grater. A serving should be about 1.5 tablespoons, fill it with ½ tsp. vegetable oil or low-fat sour cream.

In winter and autumn, we make salads from boiled beets, Chinese cabbage (very finely chopped) and carrots. It is better to leave the white-headed one for up to 2 years - its fibers are too coarse.

First course

The children's menu from 1 year old involves the preparation of soups, both with vegetable and meat broths, so we can safely choose what the child likes. The main condition is that if the first is vegetable, the second must necessarily contain animal protein.

Option 1 - beetroot with rice

Thanks to the vegetables it contains, it also combines the qualities of a salad.

  • To prepare 2 servings, take a piece of chicken fillet 60 - 70 g. Fill it with 2 glasses of filtered water and put on fire.
  • In the meantime, grate three 30 g of raw beets (3 by 2 cm block), peel ½ a medium tomato and finely chop together with ¼ bell pepper.
  • As soon as the chicken boils, salt it to taste and, after waiting 10 minutes, send vegetables to the broth. Put ½ tablespoon of white rice there. Cook until the cereals are ready.
  • Cut the meat into small pieces and serve, seasoning with 1 tsp of low-fat sour cream or the same amount of olive oil.

Option 2 - fish soup with cauliflower

We choose a fillet at our discretion: pangasius, tilapia or sole. We need 60 - 70 g. Pour 2 glasses of water and put on fire.

1 large cauliflower inflorescence (50 g) is well washed and finely chopped. Also chop ¼ a small onion and the same amount of bell pepper.

As soon as the fish boils, we send vegetables to it and add some salt. Cook until the cauliflower is ready.

If desired, you can add ½ tablespoon to this soup. vermicelli "Web", so it will become more satisfying, but remember that more often 2-3 times a week, a child of 1.5 years old should not be given pasta.

Second course

You should not often choose potatoes - there is too much starch in it, it is better to teach your baby to stew from other vegetables. At this age, he can already eat zucchini, broccoli, carrots, onions, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes and bell peppers - there will be plenty to choose from!

We also prepare cereal side dishes.

Option 1 - vegetable stew with rice and egg

For 2 servings we need: 100 g of courgette, 30 g of carrots, 20 g of onion, 30 g of bell pepper and 60-70 g of broccoli. Chop everything finely and put in a small saucepan. Add ½ tbsp there. rice, salt and pour 1/3 cup milk.

Simmer the cereals until cooked and at the end of cooking pour in the raw chicken egg, beaten separately. Stir the stew several times to cook the egg faster, turn it off and serve.

This dish, as you can see, combines both vegetable and protein components.

Option 2 - liver soufflé with vegetables

To make soufflé, we need turkey or chicken liver - they are softer and softer in taste than beef.

We send 200 g of liver, crumb from one slice of white bread, 50 ml of milk and 1 egg to a blender. Beat everything well until smooth. Add some salt, mix again and lay out on silicone molds, filling them 2/3.

We bake the soufflé or in a cartoon cooker on the "steam cooking" mode, in the microwave (2-3 minutes) or in the oven. To do this, put the molds in a baking sheet, half filled with water and cook at 180 ° C for 20 minutes.

Serve with the vegetable stew from the previous recipe, but without rice and eggs.

Compote

Children in a year and a half are very fond of dried fruit compote. We make it almost unsweetened, since the taste will already be very rich.

  • For a liter of drink, we need 50 g of dried apricots, prunes and raisins.
  • We thoroughly rinse everything in a colander, pour 1 liter of filtered water and put on fire.
  • Cook for half an hour after boiling, add a couple of teaspoons of sugar and cook for another 10 minutes, try for sugar, if not enough, add a little more and turn it off.

Serve cooled.

Afternoon snack

In an intermediate meal, we offer the baby something light, like fruit - 1-2 apple slices, dried or unsweetened cookies.

It is better to refrain from confectionery products such as cakes and chocolate cookies, as they can cause allergies at the age of 1.5.

Or you can make a wonderful carrot casserole, older children will also appreciate it, so we do more.

  1. 200 g of three carrots on a fine or coarse grater and simmer with the addition of 2 tsp. butter over low heat along with 20 g of semolina, making sure that they are not browned, but simply cooked.
  2. Add water if necessary.
  3. Let it cool and beat in 1 egg.
  4. Mix, spread 80 - 100 g of cottage cheese.
  5. Sugar to taste, stir again.
  6. We spread the mixture on a greased frying pan, baking sheet, or fill silicone molds with it and send it to bake for 25 - 30 minutes at 180 ° C.

Serve the prepared casserole with sour cream and jam.

Dinner

For dinner, a portion in the children's menu at 1.5 years old should be small, but high in calories.

Option 1 - fish pilaf

We choose fish fillets based on the tastes of the child, remembering that it should not be greasy and bony.

  • ½ medium carrots on a grater, ½ onion finely chop.
  • Heat 2 tsp in a small deep frying pan or saucepan. olive oil and put vegetables to it, salt.
  • We keep them, stir for 5 - 7 minutes.

While they are cooking, cut 100 g of fish fillets into pieces. We send to vegetables, mix. Rinse 50 g of round rice well and put it in the pan as well. Fill your finger with water and close.

Cook over low heat until rice is fully cooked. Add water if necessary.

Serve sprinkled with herbs.

Option 2 - turkey cutlets with buckwheat

  • Cut 200 g fillet into cubes and put in a blender bowl along with 2 quail eggs (or ½ chicken), 1 tbsp. bread crumbs and 1/3 chopped onion.
  • Grind everything, add a little milk if necessary, salt.
  • Let the minced meat brew for 15 - 20 minutes and form the cutlets.

You can cook them in a double boiler, multicooker ("steamed" mode) or in the oven - a children's menu from 1.5 years old does not prohibit this. Serve with buckwheat.

Of course, a child's food should be healthy, varied and natural. Basically, it consists of cereals and dairy dishes (from yogurt, kefir, cottage cheese). Fried foods are not recommended for children. All vegetable, meat, fish dishes should not be cooked with steam - either in a double boiler or in a water bath. But most of the children's menu should be vegetables and fruits - both raw and boiled. It is better to cook in a small amount of water. And in no case should the child be given preheated food, that is, cook at one time.

Before you give your child something to eat for the first time, you need to make sure in advance that the baby is not allergic to it. And it is advisable to add as little sugar and salt as possible. This is best done after a year and a half.

Children over one and a half years old can be given the same food that the whole family eats. But you should not rid him of baby food, since, in general, most products are designed for children over three years old.

The child's food should be four times a day, and always at the same time of the day, for example: from 8 to 9 in the morning - breakfast; from 12 to 13 - lunch; from 16 to 16.30 - afternoon tea; from 20 to 20.30 - dinner.
