Bon appetit! A lot of useful tips about feeding a child after a year, you will learn by watching the video. You can also see visually how to cook some of the dishes described above.

People are born healthy, but food makes them sick. Therefore, proper and balanced nutrition, practiced from early childhood, is the key to good health and proper all-round development. The first complementary foods are mainly introduced to the baby at 6 months, at the same time, "pedagogical feeding" is most often practiced. Its essence lies in accustoming the child to the correct fit at the table and holding any objects (spoons, forks).

The first "adult food" for the baby

In the period from 6 to 11 months, the child's diet is replenished almost every day. This is interesting for both parents and the baby, and, of course, extremely useful. The first complementary food can be mashed fruits and vegetables, lean meat, fish, cereals, cottage cheese dishes. At this time, the gastrointestinal tract adapts to solid food, thereby preparing for the assimilation of more "serious" food. Undoubtedly, it's time for mom to fully master and apply recipes for children for a year.

When and how much to feed the baby?

When your baby is one year old, you should make a choice between 5 and 4 meals a day. Due to the fact that it contains more satisfying foods, more often by the age of one and a half, he refuses the last meal. The “adult” four-time regimen is distributed in such a way that there are from 3 to 4 hours between meals. Experts say that this time is enough for the food to digest. It is important not to deviate from the established schedule: the maximum error cannot exceed 30 minutes. Such accuracy contributes to the good functioning of the digestive system, excellent appetite and sufficient production of gastric juice. If there is no schedule as such, then the level of juice produced is very small, it does not cope with the food consumed and leads to problems with the stool. Adults are recommended to have snacks, but what to feed a one-year-old baby between main meals? Juices, dairy products, fruits and sweets spoil the baby's appetite and reduce the production of gastric juice. Therefore, you should not sacrifice your baby's health for the sake of a moment of weakness to treat him to something delicious.

Daily norms in the diet of a one-year-old baby

Tracking the calorie content of foods and the daily intake of proteins, fats and carbohydrates is an important aspect of a healthy diet. When adding dishes for a one-year-old child to the daily diet, pay attention to the following: the amount of food for a child from 12 to 18 months should not exceed 1200 ml, and the calorie content should not exceed 1300 kcal. Distributing them evenly throughout the day is quite simple: 25% should be for breakfast and dinner, 35% for lunch, and the remaining 15% for afternoon tea. As for the weight of the child, 4 g of proteins are required per 1 kg, 4 g of fats, 16 g of carbohydrates. It is also worth distributing animals and their ratio in the child's diet should be 70:30.

How to surprise the baby at the table?

Dishes for a 1-year-old child are somewhat different from those that you prepared for him earlier. First of all, this is a larger range of products, as well as a change in the way they are prepared, arranged, and the degree of grinding. Do not forget about the interesting design of the served dishes, developing accompaniment and feeding in a playful way. Recipes for dishes for children for the year are quite diverse, so it will not be difficult for you to surprise and interest your baby every time.

First meals for babies

Soups for children 1 year old stimulate the active production of gastric juice, thereby paving the way for the proper assimilation of the second course. The variety of first courses has no boundaries: soups can be meat, fish, chicken, dairy, vegetable and even fruit.

Meat soups

Meat soups for children 1 year old are prepared on the basis of broth. For this, 1 kg of meat is taken, preferably lean, poured with 3 liters of water, salted and cooked over low heat. It is important to remove the resulting foam in time. At the same time, lightly fry the onions and carrots. When the meat is ready, it is put aside in another bowl, and roasted and greens are added to the broth. The broth is ready. Here are some soup recipes

Second courses: nutrition of a one-year-old child

Air meringue

To prepare this unpretentious dessert, you will need 3 proteins, separated from the yolk with particular captiousness (this is the key to success in cooking), and 2 cups of sugar. The components must be folded into a tall bowl and beat thoroughly until a thick and dense homogeneous foam is obtained. You need to put the baking sheet with the “dough” in a cold oven, bake at a temperature of no more than 115 ° C for 40 minutes. You can’t immediately take the baking sheet out of the oven: you need to slightly open the door and let it cool in such conditions.

strawberry mousse

Light, airy and incredibly tasty dessert your baby will definitely like.

Ingredients:

  • strawberries - 0.5 kg;
  • water - 1/2 cup;
  • semolina - 2 tablespoons;
  • sugar - 2 tablespoons.

Preparation: rub the berries through a fine sieve. Pour the rest (cake) with water, add semolina and cook for about 10 minutes. Cool semolina and beat with a blender, gradually introducing sugar and mashed potatoes into it, resulting from rubbing. The lush mass is laid out in creams and put in the refrigerator until completely solidified.

If you do not want to bake, then the best option, quick and healthy, will be cottage cheese desserts prepared by yourself. To do this, you need to take homemade cottage cheese, a little sour cream and beat thoroughly, adding sugar, vanillin, fresh berries and fruits. You can also add honey, dried apricots and raisins.

The nutrition of the child after a year expands significantly. New products are added to the menu, new types of dishes appear. The baby no longer needs to be given heavily crushed food in the form of mashed potatoes. In a year, children eat food of a delicate texture with small pieces, which trains the child's skills and abilities to chew. You can safely add meatballs, finely chopped or coarsely grated vegetables and meat, cereals and pasta in their original form to dishes.

At the age of 1.5-2 years, the ingredients for the dish can be cut larger. Many experts recommend completely abandoning soufflé, cream and puree-like dishes. But it is still impossible to overload digestion at this age, so sometimes you should feed the baby with such food. Give the baby only stews or boiled dishes, bake food or steam it. In the article, we will consider a number of rules for catering for children and draw up a detailed menu for a child 1-2 years old.

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is difficult to overestimate the impact of nutrition on the well-being and health of children and adults - especially in modern conditions of massive use of quite toxic, and often simply harmful, prohibited dietary supplements, flavoring and coloring substances in industrially prepared food - see.

- The basis of human nutrition - meat, fish, dairy and vegetables and fruits are very different, buckwheat is needed from cereals. Vegetarianism, fasting for pregnant women, lactating women and children is unacceptable. Any canned food is not recommended.
- Prepare your own food from raw ingredients purchased raw. Buy meat and fish only in pieces (but not).
- When preparing children's dishes (up to 8-10 years old), hot spices are not added.
- Replace sugar (an effective immunosuppressant) with fructose, glucose, sweet fruits, honey.
- Eliminate margarine (a source of toxic trans fats) by using butter and vegetable oils - preferably olive and sunflower (refined and unrefined).
- Do not eat surrogate industrial mayonnaise - cook only yourself.

You can plan a daily menu for a child at 1 year old, taking into account the foods that adult family members eat. Gradually transferring the crumbs to the common table, it is necessary to thoroughly think over the balanced and nutritious nutrition of the baby. The health and development of the peanut directly depends on the correct diet.

Features of feeding

The digestive system at the age of 12 months is able to absorb new food, there are already a number of teeth in the mouth, ready to actively chew it. So far, not all products can be introduced into the children's diet, but gradually there is no need to grind all the ingredients. It should be remembered that children of this age are already forming their own taste preferences. They learn to choose for themselves which foods they like and which ones to refuse.

If the baby is still breastfed, do not deprive him of the nutrients found in mother's milk. The process of feeding provides the baby with a sense of security and a close connection with a loved one. An evening portion of mother's milk will help the baby fall asleep faster. Weaning from the breast should be gradual, reducing the number of sessions to morning and evening, with a gradual complete rejection of breastfeeding.

The diet of a child in 1 year almost does not change. You should stick to 4-5 meals a day - every 3-4 hours. During this time, the little one will have time to get hungry. 5-6 meals a day are also allowed, taking into account the attachment to the breast. Depending on the baby's appetite, the mother will decide how many times a day to give him food. It is important not to violate the established regimen for the proper functioning of the digestive system. From night feeding should be gradually abandoned.

Breakfast

Morning awakening is accompanied by a gradual transition from breast milk or formula milk to a full breakfast. Porridges remain the main product in the diet. In addition to the usual oatmeal, buckwheat and rice porridge, you can offer corn or wheat porridge, which are no less useful.

If necessary, milk porridge is replaced with boiled in water. You can also use vegetable broth.

The serving volume of a one-year-old child is from 150 to 200 ml. Put 5 g of butter in the porridge. You can add chopped fruit to the plate, and separately prepared fruit puree is also suitable. Boiled yolk will complement the morning diet. Porridge can be replaced with a steamed omelette. For a sandwich with butter, you should choose wheat bread: products made from rye flour can provoke fermentation processes in the intestines.

The diet for a child of 1 year includes up to 3 chicken eggs per week. When calculating the norm, it should be remembered that eggs are also present in the soufflé, they are added to cutlets and cheesecakes. Drinks include juice or tea.

Dinner

You can start lunch with salads made from fresh or boiled vegetables and leafy greens, seasoned with sour cream or sunflower oil. Soups or broths are made from sirloin lean meat. Vegetables, cereals and pasta are used for dressing soups. A one-year-old child can be given puree soup made from vegetables, cabbage soup or borscht, milk soup, and soup with meat or fish meatballs.

What to prepare a child for the second? You can make meatloaf. Meatballs, cutlets or zrazy are prepared as a second dish, using fish or meat. Vegetable puree is suitable for garnish. Veal and chicken liver dishes will help to diversify the menu. These valuable products make delicious puddings and healthy pâtés. You can complete the dinner with juice, jelly, compote of fresh fruits and berries or dried fruits.

afternoon tea

After a nap for an afternoon snack, you can eat cottage cheese with sour cream or yogurt, cottage cheese, casseroles or milk soufflé. To obtain a sufficient amount of phosphorus and calcium, 70 g of cottage cheese per day will be required. Children will also enjoy eating fresh fruit puree or drinking juice.

Dinner

The baby's dinner consists of vegetables with the addition of cereals or some meat. It can be pumpkin or carrot puree added to porridge, vegetable stew with meat. Berries or fruits will complement dinner. From drinks - juice or tea.

Before going to bed, it is useful for a crumb to drink kefir or yogurt. The daily norm of a fermented milk drink is 200 ml. A baby who is still breastfeeding will have enough mother's milk.

About fish and meat

When purchasing fish for a baby who is one year old, you should pay attention to low-fat varieties. Pollack, cod or greenling fillets are suitable. Pieces of fish are boiled, all the bones are carefully selected and crushed. From 40 to 80 g of fish dishes per week, prepared in the form of soufflé or cutlets, is enough for a baby.

Meat is required to be introduced into the daily diet in the amount of 60–80 g. When buying, it is recommended to choose rabbit or poultry meat. Suitable veal and lean beef. Pate or puree soup is prepared from carefully boiled meat. Minced meat will go to steam meatballs, zrazy, meatballs and casseroles. It is allowed to introduce into the monthly diet the liver of a chicken or calf, as well as the tongue and heart.

About vegetables and fruits

Salads and purees from vegetables and fruits must be present in the children's menu to provide the body with vitamins and trace elements and improve the functioning of the digestive system. In season, it is preferable to eat fresh produce grown in your area. Vegetables with a high fiber content must be thoroughly boiled to avoid the appearance of colic in the intestines and bloating in the child.

For the preparation of vegetable salads are used:

  • boiled potatoes;
  • green pea;
  • tomatoes;
  • cabbage;
  • boiled beets;
  • boiled pumpkin;
  • raw or boiled carrots;
  • stewed zucchini;
  • cucumbers.

Fruit salad for baby consists of chopped apples or pears. Bananas, peaches or apricots can be cut into slices. Freshly picked berries are added to cereals, salads and fruit purees.

Pay attention to a number of tips that pediatricians give to new parents.

  1. Unfamiliar components are recommended to be introduced into the diet gradually, observing the body's reaction to the products.
  2. Vegetables and fruits of bright colors can cause an allergic reaction, so you should be careful when offering them to your baby.
  3. Meat dishes are recommended to be given for lunch, so that during the day they have time to be absorbed by the body.
  4. Hard cheese can be added to dishes in small quantities - for example, sprinkle cheese on casseroles or serve it with pasta.
  5. The nutritional value of pasta is not very high, therefore, in the diet of a 12-month-old child, they can appear no more than 1 or 2 times a week.
  6. Dishes are recommended to be slightly salted, but if possible it is better to do without salt.
  7. Sugar in the daily diet should not exceed the norm of 30-40 g, it is preferable to replace it with fructose.
  8. From confectionery products, cookies, marshmallows, marmalade and jam are allowed.
  9. Proper drinking regimen is essential for the health of the child. The baby can only be given clean bottled or boiled water in the amount that he wishes.
  10. You can feed your baby only freshly prepared food.

Features of nutrition of young children

When compiling a child's menu at 1 year old, certain norms must be taken into account. To feed a toddler, you need 1200-1250 ml of food daily. It is necessary to alternate meals during the week to provide the children's body with the right amount of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. The largest amount of calories is for lunch, the smallest for breakfast and dinner, and the smallest for afternoon tea.

Products are distributed so that every day at lunch the child receives about 35%, at breakfast and dinner about 25%, at afternoon tea about 15% of the total daily food.

Culinary processing of dishes is carried out by stewing, baking and boiling in water or steam. From semi-liquid dishes, the child gradually switches to pureed, then to crushed ones and, along the way, learns to chew food with a dense texture. To develop chewing skills, it is recommended to offer pieces of fruits and vegetables. For some babies, 2 or 3 months is enough to begin to cope with such products on their own. In children who are 1 year and 6 months old, due to the increase in the number of teeth, there are more opportunities for the assimilation of coarser foods.
