In Soviet times, a delicacy loved by both children and adults - "Nuts" cookies - was especially popular. It was even kind of a real hit. They baked cookies in a special frying pan with molds in the form of halves of a nut, sometimes mushrooms or cones. Each half was filled with cream, usually it was boiled condensed milk, to which oil and nuts were added, and combined. Outwardly, the cookies had an original shape and resembled a nut. The finished delicacy was placed on a dish and sprinkled with powder. In especially scarce times, such "Nuts" were prepared on holidays. And even now, with the advent of a huge confectionery variety in stores, "Nuts" are popular. But such cookies, purchased at the supermarket, cannot be compared with homemade "Nuts" made by one's own hands.

Only at first glance it may seem that the preparation of such cookies is a troublesome task. In fact, "Nuts" are prepared very quickly, but they turn out amazingly tasty. The basis of the biscuit is, in which sour cream and butter are added. Sometimes eggs are laid in "Nuts", but you can do without them - the dough will be even more tender. The traditional cream for cookies is boiled condensed milk. But the filling can be different: cottage cheese or custard, chocolate paste, jam or jam.

  • Condensed milk - 1 can;
  • Walnuts - 1 cup.

Cooking method:

  1. We put the condensed milk to boil (about 3 hours). Periodically add water to a pot with a jar.
  2. We chop the nuts.
  3. Let's prepare the dough. Pour the sifted flour into a separate container, add room temperature butter, mix until crumbs are obtained.
  4. We send sour cream, sugar, soda and vanillin to the mass. Knead soft dough.
  5. Lubricate the hazel well with oil.
  6. From the dough we make small balls, which we lay out in molds.
  7. We close the hazel, bake the cookies on the stove on both sides for 3 minutes over low heat. The cookies should be a nice golden color.
  8. We take out the finished “shells” and put them on a dish, carefully remove the extra edges from the cookies. We cool.
  9. Let's prepare the cream. We put softened butter in a separate container, spread the finished condensed milk and nuts. Whisk everything thoroughly.
  10. "Shells" fill with cream and connect.
  11. Put the finished "Nuts" on a dish and sprinkle with powder.

The preparation of this dough can be entrusted even to a novice confectioner: everything is extremely simple. As a cream for "Nuts", you can use the classic version - condensed milk with butter, or you can prepare custard or curd cream. If desired, you can add nuts or prunes to the cream - it will be even tastier.

  • If desired, in addition to the cream, you can put half a walnut in each nut.
  • The kneaded dough can be left for half an hour in the refrigerator - so it will be more convenient to work with it.
