Delicious and fragrant honey gingerbread in a steamed multicooker

Ingredients:

  • wheat flour - 2 cups (may take a little more)
  • butter - 80 gr
  • chicken egg - 1 pc.
  • natural honey - 2 tbsp.
  • sugar - ½ cup
  • baking soda - ½ teaspoon
  • cinnamon - a pinch
  • water - ½ liter

Someone smart said: “Give up sweets for 14 days and lose 2 weeks of a fulfilling life.” We will not give up sweets. Just the opposite, let's take another step towards a happy and fulfilling life - bake sweet honey gingerbread in a slow cooker.

From this amount of products, approximately 8-10 gingerbread cookies are obtained. I cooked in the YUMMY YMC-505BX multicooker.

Cooking method


  1. Let's prepare the ingredients for gingerbread to make cooking easier and faster.

  2. In a deep bowl or immediately in a saucepan, put butter, honey, granulated sugar. We drive in a chicken egg.

  3. We stir. In a water bath, stirring, we stand the products for 10 minutes. Sugar, honey and butter should dissolve. Stir constantly so that the egg does not curdle. Still maintaining the mixture in a water bath, add soda, cinnamon and stir.

  4. Here we gradually pour the flour (having sifted it in advance or in the process), stir. It is not necessary to pour all the flour at once. Save about a third for the next step.

  5. Now we look at the dough, which fits in a water bath. If it becomes like thick sour cream, remove from the stove.

  6. Pour the rest of the flour, stir with a spoon. If we understand that the dough is watery for sculpting gingerbread, add more flour. The dough in the end should be soft, but not spread from the formed kolobok.

  7. We divide the dough into small pieces and form gingerbread cookies. We put them in a steamer bowl. Leave small gaps between the gingerbread cookies, as they increase in size.

  8. Pour half a liter of boiling water into the multicooker bowl. We install a tray with gingerbread and turn on the “steamed” mode, time 25 minutes.

  9. After the end of the program, lay out the finished gingerbread cookies to cool on the wire rack. Then, if desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  10. Steamed honey gingerbread in a slow cooker is ready, you can serve it to the table!

The gingerbread itself is very tasty and appetizing, they do not need any additional decorations and additives such as fudge. But if there is a desire - decorate, if only you were pleased, joyful and sweet! I used quite a bit of powdered sugar. Bon appetit, eat healthy!
